Age and consent
SmartWit is for high-school students, set up by an adult.
The courses we teach — Algebra 1 and Geometry — are high-school courses, and the account is meant to be opened by a parent or guardian who stays in control of it. If a student under 13 wants to use SmartWit, a parent must set it up and supervise it. If you believe a child has an account without your consent, email [email protected] and we will remove it and its recordings.
№ 02 · Still building
Not yet trueThree things we want to be able to promise and can't yet. They sit here, below the line, rather than being written upstairs in the present tense.
Parent-held accounts
Today an account is created by whoever signs up. We're moving to a model where the parent holds the account and the student uses a profile inside it — which is how the arrangement already works in most households, and makes every promise on this page true by construction.
One-click deletion of a session
Recordings live in your account. Self-serve deletion of an individual session is being built; until it ships, email us and we'll delete it.
